There are only approximately forty tickets left for the Saturday Matinee.
There are still plenty left for the Sunday Matinee but these are consequently now selling quite quickly.

12.11.10 Aladdin Matinee tickets selling now

The tickets for the two Matinee shows are starting to sell with several block bookings being made.
The two Matinees are being sold as reserved seating so to ensure that you get the best seats or your prefered seats, don't delay in making your booking with Ticketline on 625 3542.

28.10.10 - Full Aladdin cast call-less Dancers

All the Cast (less Dancers) are set to attend rehearsals from Wednesday 3rd November.
Dancers continue to rehearse Monday evenings.

20.10.10 Aladdin Tickets starting to sell

Orders for tickets are starting to come in with several Block Bookings already received. Tickets for all the shows are available by calling 625 3542. Matinee tickets are only avialable by calling 625 3542 and are reserved seats, so don't leave it too late to book!

23.09.10 Aladdin rehearsals - what a joke!

Aladdin rehearsals are 'laugh a minute' at the moment, as the cast get to grips with the script. Long may it continue!

09.09.10 - Aladdin first rehearsal goes well

The Group held the first rehearsal for Aladdin with an opportunity for all the cast to meet (with some old and some new faces). Straight 'on the floor' with the script and everyone keen to 'get going'. Well done to all for the first rehearsal, a good start and a bit of fun for all. Just two people unable to make it, but fingers crossed, they'll be there next week.

30.07.10 Aladdin Casting -latest

Following the auditions held on Sunday and during the week, decisions have now been made and all the Principal parts are being offered to individuals. Letters are being posted on Friday and should reach people by Tuesday offering these roles and Dancers and Chorus roles.

25.07.10 Aladdin Auditions - latest

Auditions for the Group's forthcoming production of Aladdin took place on Sunday 25th July. These were well attended and thanks to everyone who turned up. There are a couple of further auditions provisionally scheduled for Tuesday 27th July. Once these have taken place then decisions will be made and a letter will be sent out to each attendee advising them of the parts to be offerred. If you missed out and wish to attend the remaining audition then please call Rose on 625 3542 to enquire and confirm the time and date.

20.07.10 - Re Aladdin workshop

Any one who was unable to attend on Monday, and still interested in auditioning can come along on Wednesday night from 7.30 til 9.00 to discuss the show and collect audition pieces.
Failing that, you can still turn up on Sunday Auditions from 12.00 and there will be an opportunity to read the audition pieces before 'having a go' for a Principal part - you are all very welcome.

01.07.10 Aladdin auditions set

The Group will be holding open auditions for their January '2011 Rock and Pop panto Aladdin', on Sunday 25th July at Hoylake Community Centre, Hoyle Road (promenade end) Hoylake, Wirral.
Children, Chorus and Dancers auditions will be held from 12.00 to 2.00 and Principal auditions will be held from 2.00 until approx 5.00.
There will be an informal Gathering/Workshop held on Monday 19th July at the Centre in the evening from 7.30 to 9.30 to discuss the show and the various roles. Any one interested should make an effort to come along to this or if unable to, contact Rose on 625 3542 to express an interest or e-mail aladdin@hawktg.org.uk

19.06.10 FAME comes to an end

Sadly, FAME the Musical has finished, but what a show. Well done to everyone in the Cast, Backstage, Front of House and all the support teams. A lot of hard work and many, many hours of effort really showed in this production ..... if you missed it, then you really missed out!

16.06.10 - Fame Dress rehearsal goes well

The Dress rehearsal for Fame went very well, one of the best yet! Bring on the first performance tonight!!!

Last nights Tech went very well and everyones geared up for tonights full Dress Rehearsal.

13.06.10 - FAME moves in to the Theatre

The Theatre Group have set up in the theatre ready for our production this week. The Cast had a basic run through of the songs and dances for the first time on the stage.

01.06.10 FAME flashmob video at the Pyramids

Members turned up and performed impromptu (staged really) dance to 'FAME' title music at the Pyramids, Birkenhead on Saturday 29th June. Good practice for the real show, later this month at the Gladstone Theatre. Click on the link to view: - You Tube video

25.05.10 FAME - Flash Mob date set

Members of the Cast will stage a 'Flash Mob' event in the Pyramids shopping centre, Birkenhead, from 11.00hrs until approx 14.00hrs on Saturday 29th May. Any support on the day will be welcome so come along!

20.05.10 Fame - Flash mob

We are looking to stage a 'Flash mob' event in Birkenhead. This is basically when a group of people suddenly and sometimes spontaneously perform some kind of a public display or event. In this case our Members are going to perform a routine from the show. Date, time and venue to be confirmed.

08.04.10 Fame rehearsals heating up!

Rehearsals for Fame continue and the dance routines get sharper and slicker by the minute - this show is going to be a hot one!

20.03.10 Sleeping Beauty DVD's have arrived!

The Sleeping Beauty DVD's have been produced. They will be available for collection from the Centre on Monday evening from 9.00pm, on presentaion of the appropriate funds!

11.03.10 Fame rehearsals progressing well

The first few rehearsals have gone really well, all the cast are gelling well and the songs are already sounding good. Full cast members are now due for rehearsals on Mondays.

23.02.10 Fame rehearsals scheduled to begin

Principal rehearsals for FAME the Muscal will start on Monday 1st March at 7.30pm. Anyone unable to attend, should notify Dawn as soon as known.

19th February has been set for the Big Screen Premiere of Sleeping Beauty. Start time 7.00pm - £1 entry per person (refund for each DVD ordered!)

The tickets for Fame will be on sale soon but have been delayed slightly due to Gladstone Theatre administration issues!

Second date set for Fame Audition call backs

Fame call-back auditions are to continue on Monday 8th Feb from 7.30 at the Centre, for invited people only. Once these have been completed, the cast should be agreed, with people notified within a couple of days.
